What's Up Wednesday

Welcome to another What's Up Wednesday, hosted by Jaime and Erin

What I’m Reading
I finished SHADOW AND BONE by Leigh Bardugo, ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL by Jesse Andrews, and a book of poems for my summer class. Now I’m rereading HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN. It’s flawless, of course!

What I’m Writing
I’m writing a few scenes for a new story idea I came up with over the weekend. It’s super early so I don’t know if I’ll stick with it, but it’s a mother/daughter story. LOVE!

What Inspires Me Lately
Ready. Set. WRITE! is still whipping me into writing shape. The night before I had to post my updates about my weekly goals, I was up trying to finish my edits so I could check off that box on my blog! Just posting my goals online holds me accountable.

What Else Is New
During my lunch break last week I bolted to Barnes and Noble to pick up some books! Is there any better
way to spend your lunch break? I don’t think so!

My grandma is still visiting, and yesterday the two of us drove to Dunkin donuts for a coffee and donut date! We were the only people sitting in the café and had such a nice chat.

I also was lucky enough to win a copy of Rainbow Rowell’s soon-to-be-published book LANDLINE from a GoodReads giveaway. I never win anything, so this is a big deal! I’m not sure how long it’ll take to get here, but I’m super excited to read it. I love both FANGIRL and ELEANOR AND PARK, so I can’t wait to read this one!

What have you been up to lately?

  2. Shadow and Bone has been on my TBR list for too long, but I think I need to pick it up next. Have heard so many good things about the series! I'm not participating in Ready Set Write but I've loved seeing everyone's goals and it can be super helpful to have even just that little bit of accountability. For me, that's writing sprints like WriteClub or 1k1hr :) Somehow, having to report my numbers at the end of 30 minutes makes the words come that much faster. Have a great week!

  4. I'm really finding that RSW is keeping me accountable too. I'm glad it's working for both of us! It just feels kind of embarrassing to post: I totally crapped out on my goals this week. Lots of great reading for you and awesome book shopping for you this week. Love it! :D
