Liebster Award x2!

So I've been nominated for the Liebster Award twice in the past month (hooray!) and I'm finally getting around to answering questions. I'm really bad at nominating people, but if you have less than 200 followers and want to do this challenge, I NOMINATE YOU! Or if you just want to post an answer to one or two of my questions in the comments, I'd love to hear your answers (even if you're super popular and have 200+ followers!).

Thank you to Alex @ The Book's Buzz and Aneta @ The Graffiti on the Wall for nominating me!

Here are the rules:
1. Write 11 facts about yourself.
2. Nominate 11 bloggers (or less) who you feel deserve this award and who have less than 200 followers.
3. Answer 10 questions posted by the presenter and ask your nominees 10 questions.

Okay, here we go! 11 facts about myself:
1. I'm a creative writing graduate student with ONE YEAR TO GO until graduation. (I'm a tiny bit excited about it...)
2. I love reading, especially YA and MG novels.
3. I crochet. I'm working on a rainbow afghan right now.
4. Dunkin Donuts is one of my favorite places. I'm addicted to their coffee.
5. I do puzzles for hours at a time.
6. I have traveled to South Africa, Belize, and Guatemala.
7. Country music! <3
8. Favorite food is French toast.
9. I joined a sorority in college.
10. I'm scared of birds.
11. The last movie I saw in theaters was The Giver.

Now I'll answer the questions both of my nominators asked. First up is Alex's!
1. Top 5 book boyfriends? Wes from THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER, Levi from FANGIRL, Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices series, Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles series, and Liam from The Darkest Minds series.
2. Do you prefer hardback or paperback? Hardback.
3. Where is the comfiest place to read, in your opinion? In a super-cozy chair or stretched out on the couch.
4. What do you like to snack on while reading? Usually nothing because I don't want anything getting on the pages, but if I'm starving and cannot put the book down for five minutes (remember that time when Deathly Hallows came out?) I'll eat something and not pay any attention to what the food actually is. Because the book is clearly more important than nutrition.
5. Favorite author? Sarah Dessen and John Green.
6. Picture of your library/bookshelf perhaps? I don't have access to any right now (doing this at work), but I have four shelves and they make a little book nook in the corner of my room!
7. Ever lost a library card before? Nope! I actually don't have library cards because my university ID doubles as one.
8. Do you play league of legends, because if so, I need to add you immediately. Nope.
9. Why do you read? To experience things I wouldn't otherwise be able to, to become a different person for a while, for adventure, for inspiration.
10. Watch any Doctor Who? My friends made me watch two episodes, and it just wasn't for me. *ducks as projectiles are thrown*

And here are Aneta's questions:
1. How did books become a part of your life? My parents read to me when I was a baby, and my mom always took me to bookstores. I've never known life without books!
2. What writer would you accidentally want to meet? I'd say J.K. Rowling, but if I just bumped into her on the street or in line for coffee, I'd probably burst into tears and start babbling like a maniac. Not sure I could handle meeting her. But I'd love to meet Sarah Dessen! I follow her on Twitter and we have a lot in common, so we'd have tons to talk about!
3. "You read fiction? Hmpf. Why would you read about witches and zombies and kids with superpowers? What a waste of time." Please comment. I really need an answer. I read what makes me happy. It's not my job to justify that to anyone else. Everyone has different tastes. If you don't like a book, don't pick it up.
4. List the top three things you hate. Birds, tomatoes, and when people make others feel bad about liking something (a book, TV show, movie, etc).
5. Which superpower would you like to have? Teleportation.
6. What is your biggest vice? Does donut consumption count?
7. Which book comes to your mind when I say: a) Swords, b) Yuck, c) LGBT? A: CROWN OF MIDNIGHT by Sarah J. Maas, B: BREAKING DAWN by Stephenie Meyer, C: ASK THE PASSENGERS by A.S. King.
8. When you were a baby, what did your parents do to put you to sleep? They left me alone in my room, haha! Eventually I'd stop whining and fall asleep.
9. If you had to witness the end of the world, how would you prefer it: fire or ice? Ice.
10. Which book failed massively to live up to the hype for you? MATCHED by Allie Condie.
11. If you could keep a mythical creature as your pet, what would it be? What would you name it? A niffler (those dog-like creatures that act like metal detectors) from Harry Potter. I would name it Sirius Jr.

Okay, almost there! Here are my questions for anybody who wants to participate! You can answer in your own post or the comments below.
1. Best book you've read this summer?
2. TV show you're most looking forward to watching this fall?
3. Favorite breakfast food?
4. Hunger Games or Divergent?
5. If you have read it, can you please explain to me what DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE is about? I'm toying with the idea of picking it up, but I still don't really know what it's about (even after reading the synopsis). Help!
6. Favorite book series you've recently discovered?
7. If you had $1000 to spend in just one store, which store would it be?
8. Which five fictional characters would you want on your zombie apocalypse survival team?
9. Do you use GoodReads?
10. The next book on your To Be Read list?

WHEW! DONE! I'd love to hear your answers to some of my questions. :)

  1. Congrats on your second Liebster Award! Yes, Dunkin Donuts coffee is absolutely amazing. And heck yes doughnut consumption counts as a vice. I am not a tomato fan either. In fact, I think they should be outlawed.
