What I’m ReadingI finished 4 books (reread FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell, NEVER FADE by Alexandra Bracken, BEAR SEASON by Kathy Ayres for school, and ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS by Stephanie Perkins). I’ll be reviewing ANNA soon! Now I’m reading CROWN OF MIDNIGHT, the second book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and Pam Houston’s CONTENTS MAY HAVE SHIFTED for school.
What I’m WritingI am in the progress of accomplishing a RSW weekly goal of writing a potential epilogue for my WIP. Sometimes you just need an ending to work toward, even if that ending might change.
What Inspires Me Right NowJohn Green and the success of TFIOS. More below.
What Else I’ve Been Up ToI saw The Fault in Our Stars movie twice this weekend and am in complete and total love. It follows the book almost exactly, a perfect adaptation in my opinion. The casting was flawless (I adored Shailene, Ansel, and Nat) and I found myself laughing constantly. The book’s sadness is hyped up so much that I almost forget just how funny it is. I’m so happy for John Green and this book that he spent twelve years working on. He’s been through several failed movie adaptation attempts with LOOKING FOR ALASKA and PAPER TOWNS previously, but this one was perfect. I’m so happy for the success of this story. <3
What did you do this week? Did you see (and love) TFIOS?
